After you've washed and rinsed your silicone baking mats you may be wondering what is the best way to dry them. They don't dry in the dishwasher and because of their lack of structure they don't quite fit onto a traditional drying rack. If you're drying multiple silicone mats, they tend to stick together while drying and will stay wet on the surfaces that are touching. You may find yourself in a similar situation if you use silicon food covers.
The best way to dry silicone baking mats is to hang them via pegs under a rack over a drying mat. This ensures that they dry completely and quickly. This also works really well for silicone food covers, beeswax food wraps, silicone zip lock bags and any other item which is doesn't hold it structure standing up.
I got this rack from Daiso (a Japanese small wares store). This worked perfectly as this Japanese store often make smaller sized utensils and homewares. They offer a variety of leg lengths for full customisation. I bought the legs which where just longer than the shorter length of the silicone mat.
The drying mat is from Ikea and allows you to place this rack wherever there's space.
